Visiting Guidelines

Effective Oct. 3, 2022

For patient’s safety and to help prevent the spread of COVID, the following guidelines are being followed:

  • All visitors will be screened for a history of COVID and flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, and will not be permitted if symptomatic.
  • Only visitors who are fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test within 72 hours will be allowed to enter the facility.
  • All visitors, regardless of vaccination status or test result, must follow proper infection prevention practices:
    • Wear a well-fitting face mask (a surgical mask or double masking is recommended) upon entry and at all times within the facility
    • Wear any other personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the patient's or resident's room that our staff deems appropriate to the situation
    • Physically distance from facility personnel and other patients/residents/visitors that are not part of your group at all times while in the facility
    • Two visitors maximum age 16 or older are allowed to visit the patient at the same time for 15 minutes during visitation hours: 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 2-4 p.m. on weekends
  • To ensure the patient's safety and practice physical distancing, a staff member will escort the visitor to the designated visitation area (visitors cannot roam the hallways)
  • Visitors are only allowed in the designated patio area and, during bad weather, in the dining room
  • All communication with hospital staff should be done by phone from outside the hospital
  • All visitors must sign in with name, date, contact information, and whom they wish to visit
  • Visitor belongings are checked by security in the hospital lobby for contraband, and belongings, such as purses, backpacks and large items, are not allowed on patient units. Lockers will be provided for storage during visit
  • Visits are not allowed to bring in food for patients, with the exception of sealed food for cultural or religious reasons, or by physician order
  • Visitors are not allowed to bring in/order fast food
